| In 1989 I was a Crew Leader in the California Conservation Corps. I was trained in Forest Firefighting and Flood Control. I didn't actually get to do any flood control that year but did fight a few forest fires. I was considering joining the military at the time but the slogan "Hard work, low pay, miserable conditions and more" caught my interest. | |||
